Wat Lokayasutharam is one of Ayutthaya’s most remarkable temples, known for its massive reclining Buddha statue that symbolizes the Lord Buddha’s passing into Nirvana. Measuring 37 meters long and 8 meters high, the statue is made of brick and plaster and remains a deeply spiritual site for Thai Buddhists.
