Toki no Kane, also known as the Time Bell Tower, has been ringing across Kawagoe for more than 400 years. As the iconic landmark of “Little Edo,” the tower continues to mark time for the city, preserving the atmosphere of Japan’s past. The current structure was rebuilt in the late 19th century and stands as a symbol of Kawagoe’s resilience and heritage.
