The Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza is the world’s oldest surviving indoor theater, designed by the legendary Andrea Palladio in 1580. Completed after his death by Vincenzo Scamozzi, the theater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture. Its permanent stage set, designed to resemble an ancient Roman city, remains one of the most extraordinary theatrical designs ever created.
