SS Great Britain is one of Bristol’s most important maritime attractions and a pioneering ship designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Launched in 1843, it was the first iron-hulled, propeller-driven ocean-going steamship, and today it serves as an interactive museum telling the story of global travel and engineering innovation.
