Sajjangarh, commonly known as the Monsoon Palace, is a historic hilltop palace located on
the outskirts of Udaipur. Built in the late nineteenth century by Maharana Sajjan Singh, the
palace was intended as a monsoon retreat and astronomical center.
Situated high above the city, Sajjangarh offers sweeping panoramic views of Udaipur, Lake
Pichola, and the surrounding Aravalli hills. The location is especially popular during sunset,
when the landscape is bathed in golden light.
