The Pont du Gard is a UNESCO World Heritage Roman aqueduct and one of the most impressive ancient engineering achievements in France. Built in the 1st century AD, this massive three-tier bridge once carried water across the Gardon River and today stands as one of the best-preserved Roman monuments in Europe.
