Pitawala Pathana

Pitawala Pathana, located in the Riverston area of Matale, is a unique grassland plateau offering panoramic views of the Knuckles mountains. Known as the “Mini World’s End,” it’s one of the most scenic viewpoints in Sri Lanka. The cool breeze, endless sky, and rolling green plains make it a favorite for hikers and photographers.

  • From Kandy 🏞️🚙: About 2.5 hours via Wattegama and Rattota ⏳🗺️.
  • Public Transport 🚌🛺: Buses operate to Riverston, but private vehicles or tuk-tuks are recommended for the last stretch 🚍🏔️.
