The Muthiyangana Raja Maha Viharaya is one of the most sacred and historically significant Buddhist temples in Sri Lanka. Located in the heart of Badulla Town, this temple dates back over 2,300 years, and it is believed that Lord Buddha himself visited this site during his third journey to Sri Lanka.
Adorned with white stupas, ancient carvings, and a peaceful courtyard filled with the fragrance of temple flowers, Muthiyangana is not just a religious monument — it’s a living spiritual landmark where history and faith meet in perfect harmony.
