Lough Tay

Lough Tay is a striking mountain lake located within the Wicklow Mountains National Park in County Wicklow, Ireland. Surrounded by steep hillsides, the lake is known for its dark waters and dramatic setting. It is often referred to as one of the most photographed lakes in the Wicklow region. The lake sits in a remote valley and is best viewed from nearby viewpoints along the mountain roads. Although direct access to the lakeshore is limited, the elevated views provide an impressive perspective of the landscape.
