Les Mées Rocks, known as “Les Pénitents des Mées,” are one of the most striking
natural formations in southeastern France. These tall, narrow rock pillars resemble
hooded monks standing in a row, creating a dramatic and mysterious landscape.
Formed millions of years ago by erosion, the rocks rise up to 100 meters high and
dominate the surrounding countryside.
The site is ideal for photography, hiking, and learning about geological history.
