Km 82 is the official starting point of the Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Located near the Urubamba River, this checkpoint marks the beginning of one of the most famous hiking routes in the world. All trekkers must register here before entering the protected trail, making it an important and historic gateway to the ancient Inca path
