Khao Yai National Park, located about 3 hours northeast of Bangkok, is Thailand’s first
and most famous national park. It covers more than 2,000 square kilometers of lush
forests, mountains, and waterfalls. The park is part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed
Dong Phayayen–Khao Yai Forest Complex and is home to elephants, gibbons, hornbills,
and many more species.
