Kanda House is one of Shirakawa-go’s finest and best-preserved gassho-zukuri farmhouses. Built over 160 years ago, this traditional wooden home belonged to the Kanda family, known for their skilled craftsmanship and contributions to the village community. Visitors can explore the multi-story interior, steep thatched roof structure, family artifacts, and cultural displays that reveal how people lived and worked in historic Ogimachi Village
