Jingshan Park is a historic hilltop park located directly north of the Forbidden City. It is best known for its elevated viewpoint that offers panoramic views across central Beijing. The park was created during the Ming Dynasty using earth excavated from the Forbidden City moat. Today, it provides one of the best vantage points for understanding Beijing’s traditional north–south city axis. For travelers, Jingshan Park is the ideal place to see the Forbidden City from above and enjoy fresh air in the city center.
