Gokul is a sacred town in the Braj region and is closely associated with the early childhood of Lord Krishna. According to tradition, Krishna was brought to Gokul by Vasudeva to protect him from King Kansa, and the town became his foster home. The town is home to several important temples and ghats along the Yamuna River. Pilgrims visit Gokul to relive the stories of Krishna’s childhood and to experience the devotional atmosphere of the region. For travelers, Gokul offers a peaceful spiritual environment combined with river views, temples, and traditional village life
