Gerlos Pass is a high mountain road that connects the Ziller Valley with the Pinzgau region.   • ❄️ In January, ensure your vehicle has winter tires and check for “Kettenpflicht” (snow chains) ⛓️
  • 💳 Have your Zillertal Arena ski pass ready; it covers the toll fee for skiers 🆓
  • 🧥 Bring a warm layer; the temperature at the 1,531m summit is much lower than in the valley 🌬️
  • ⛽ Ensure your tank is full before leaving Zell am Ziller or Krimml, as stations are sparse on the pass ⛽
