Gadara Ruins are the remains of an important ancient Greco-Roman city located in northern Jordan. Known today as Umm Qais, the site played a major role in regional trade, culture, and learning during classical times. The ruins are set on a hilltop with wide views across the Jordan Valley, the Sea of Galilee, and the surrounding countryside.
