Dras Valley is a high-altitude valley located in the Kargil district of Ladakh, India. It is widely known as one of the coldest inhabited places in the world, especially during winter months. For travelers, Dras Valley offers dramatic mountain landscapes, fresh alpine air, and insight into resilient local life. The valley is also an important stop along the Srinagar–Leh highway.

  • ✈️ Fly to Leh Airport (280 km) or Srinagar Airport (160 km) and hire a taxi 🛬
  • ⛴️ Note that travel is highly dependent on the Zoji La Pass conditions 🌬️
