Baan Dam Museum, also known as the Black House, is one of Chiang Rai’s most
intriguing and artistic attractions. Created by the late Thai artist Thawan Duchanee, this
museum complex is a collection of over 40 black-themed buildings featuring unique art,
sculptures, animal bones, and antique furniture. The site represents the darker side of
human nature and the cycle of life, offering visitors a deep cultural and philosophical
experience unlike any other in Thailand.
