The Lolland Dike is an important coastal structure that protects large parts of the island of Lolland from flooding. Stretching along the shoreline, it also offers open views of the sea, flat landscapes, and long walking and cycling routes. For visitors, the dike is a unique place to enjoy wide horizons, fresh air, and quiet coastal scenery.

What to See & Do

  • 🚲 Cycle Denmark’s longest dike path with uninterrupted sea views 🚲
  • 🦅 Watch for White-tailed Eagles soaring over the reclaimed marshlands 🦅
  • 📸 Capture the “flatlands” aesthetic of Lolland’s unique coastal horizon 📸
  • 🐚 Explore the curved cape of Albuen, reachable via the dike or boat 🐚
  • 🔭 Visit bird towers at Saksfjed for world-class migratory sightings 🔭

How to Get There

  • 🚲 Join the Baltic Sea Cycle Route (N8) which runs along the dike 🚲
