The Fort of São Miguel Arcanjo is located on the cliffs between Praia da Nazaré and Praia do Norte. It is one of the best-known viewpoints for watching the giant winter waves that make Nazaré famous worldwide. The small fort also contains exhibitions related to surfing and maritime history.
