Iztuzu Beach, also known as Turtle Beach, is a long natural sandy beach located near Dalyan in the Muğla region of Turkey. The beach is protected for its wildlife and is known for its clean environment, gentle waves, and scenic coastal views.

How to Get There

  • 🚤 Take a “Dolmuş” boat ⚓ from the Dalyan town docks for a 35-40 minute river cruise. 🛶
  • 🚐 Board a local minibus (Dolmuş) 🚍 from near the Dalyan PTT (Post Office) for a 20-minute drive. 🛣️
  • 🚗 Drive your own vehicle 🅿️ to the large parking area located at the southern end of the beach. 🚘

Travel Tips

  • 🚫 Respect the roped-off nesting zones 🐢 and never dig holes or use umbrellas in these areas. 🚩
  • 🌙 Note the beach is closed at night 🔒 (usually 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM) to protect nesting turtles. 🦉
  • 🧴 Bring high-factor sun protection 👒 and water, as there is limited natural shade on the sand. 💧

  • 🚐 09:00 AM – Take the minibus 📍 from Dalyan to the beach entrance near the turtle center. 🐢
  • 🏥 09:30 AM – Visit DEKAMER 🐢 to see the rescued sea turtles before they get too busy. 🩹
  • 🏖️ 11:00 AM – Relax, swim, and walk 🌊 along the 4.5 km golden sandbar. 🏊
  • 🚤 02:30 PM – Take a taxi boat ⚓ from the river-side of the beach back to Dalyan town. 🛶
