Independence Pass is one of Colorado’s most scenic mountain drives, reaching over 12,000 feet in elevation. Located between Aspen and Twin Lakes, the pass offers dramatic alpine views, winding roads, and numerous pull-offs for photography. It is especially popular during summer and early fall when the road is open and the surrounding mountains are accessible.
