Saklikent Gorge is a dramatic natural canyon located near the Kas–Kalkan region. With high rock walls and a cool flowing river, it is a popular destination for soft hiking, nature walks, and escaping the summer heat.

  • 🚗 Drive for about 45 minutes from Kalkan or 1 hour from Kas via scenic routes 🛣️
  • 🚐 Take a local “dolmuş” (minibus) from Fethiye or join an organized day tour 🚌
  • 🚙 Arrive by private vehicle to easily combine your trip with the nearby Gizlikent Waterfall 📍
  • 🅿️ Park in the designated lots near the entrance; small fees may apply during peak season 🅿️

Travel Tips

  • 👟 Wear sturdy water shoes for slippery rocks; rubber shoes are available for rent on-site 🥾
  • 🎒 Use a waterproof dry bag for your phone and valuables as the river can reach waist-height 💦
  • 🕙 Arrive before 10:00 AM to beat the large tour groups and enjoy the silence of the gorge 🤫
  • 🧥 Bring a change of clothes—you will get wet, and the water is bone-chillingly cold! ❄️
