Okanda Murugan Kovil, located on Sri Lanka’s southeastern coast in the Ampara District, is a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Murugan (Skanda Kumara). Set beside the beautiful Okanda Beach, this colorful temple is both a spiritual landmark and a cultural treasure of the region. It is also a key stop on the annual Pada Yatra pilgrimage, where devotees walk hundreds of kilometers from the north of Sri Lanka to Kataragama.
