Nigatsu-do Hall

Nigatsu-do Hall, part of the Todai-ji Temple complex, is one of Nara’s most scenic and spiritually significant sites. Built in the 8th century, it stands on a hillside overlooking Nara Park, offering some of the best panoramic views in the entire city. Nigatsu-do is famously known for the Omizutori Fire Festival, one of Japan’s oldest religious rituals.
