Ridiyagama Safari Park in Hambantota is Sri Lanka’s first and largest open-air safari experience. Spread across 500 acres, it offers jeep tours through zones of lions, elephants, zebras, and giraffes — giving visitors a glimpse of African-style wildlife close to home.

  • 🚌 By Bus: Take a bus to Ambalantota, then a tuk-tuk to the park entrance.

Travel Tips

  • ☀️ Bring hats, water, and sunscreen – it can get very sunny.
  • ⚠️ Follow park rules and stay inside the safari vehicle at all times.
  • 📸 Carry a camera with a zoom lens for great wildlife shots.
  • ⏱️ Plan for at least 2–3 hours to fully enjoy the safari experience.
