Step Pyramid of Djoser

The Step Pyramid of Djoser is considered the oldest large-scale stone structure in Egypt and marks the beginning of pyramid construction. Built during the Third Dynasty, it represents a major development in ancient Egyptian architecture. Designed by the architect Imhotep, the pyramid stands within the Saqqara necropolis and remains one of the most important archaeological landmarks in Egypt.
